Measuring Range / Color Scale

0 → 1 → 3 → 10 → 30 → 100 mg/L H₂O₂

The reaction field changes from white to blue, with the resulting color compared against the supplied color scale.

How to Use

  1. Remove one test strip from the container.
  2. Immediately close the container to protect the remaining strips.
  3. Do not touch the reactive test field.
  4. Dip the test strip into the test solution for approximately 1 second.
  5. Remove the strip and allow the reaction to develop.
  6. Evaluate the color after approximately 5 seconds.
  7. Compare the developed color with the supplied color scale.
  8. Determine the corresponding peroxide concentration in mg/L H₂O₂.

Reaction Principle

Hydrogen peroxide reacts with peroxidase (POD) and an organic redox indicator in the test field, producing a blue-colored oxidation product. The intensity of the color corresponds to the peroxide concentration.

Applications

QUANTOFIX® Peroxide 100 can be used for rapid peroxide screening in a variety of laboratory, industrial and process-control applications, including:

  • Hydrogen peroxide concentration checks
  • Water and aqueous solution testing
  • Process monitoring
  • Cleaning and sanitation process verification
  • Residual peroxide determination
  • Dialysis equipment residual-peroxide checks
  • Laboratory analysis
  • Chemical process monitoring
  • Detection of organic and inorganic hydroperoxides

For specific applications, users should verify method suitability and applicable regulatory or process requirements.

Important Testing Information

The manufacturer's instructions indicate that the test is generally independent of solution pH between pH 2 and 9. Strongly acidic solutions may require buffering, while alkaline solutions may require adjustment to approximately pH 5–7. Strong oxidizing agents can interfere with the test.

For hydroperoxides in organic solvents, the manufacturer's instructions specify moistening the test field with one drop of water after evaporation/drying of the solvent.

Storage Instructions

Store the test strips at 4–30°C and protect them from unsuitable storage conditions. Remove only the number of strips required for testing and close the container immediately after removing a strip. Avoid touching the reactive test field.

Package Contents

1 × QUANTOFIX® Peroxide 100 tube containing 100 test strips

Instruction leaflet included.

Product Advantages

Fast: Results can be obtained within seconds.

Simple: Dip, develop and compare with the color scale.

Convenient: No additional reagent is required.

Portable: Compact test-strip format makes the product suitable for laboratory and field testing.

Semi-quantitative: Provides concentration estimation across a defined peroxide range.

Instrument-compatible: The strips can also be evaluated using the QUANTOFIX Relax reflectometer.
