AQUASOL's published materials identify COD testing applications in wastewater and freshwater and describe the instrument as suitable for on-site and laboratory analysis.
How It Works
- Prepare the water/wastewater sample using the appropriate COD digestion vial/reagent.
- Digest the sample according to the applicable COD testing procedure.
- Place the prepared standard COD vial into the meter.
- Select the appropriate COD measurement range.
- The meter performs the photometric measurement.
- The COD result is displayed on the LCD.
- Results can be retained using the meter's memory/storage function.
The AQUASOL COD system is based on closed-reflux COD measurement using standard-size vials.
Benefits
Portable Testing: Convenient for on-site water and wastewater analysis.
Wide COD Range: Three ranges cover low-, medium- and high-COD samples up to 15,000 mg/L.
Fast Measurement: The published APCOD series specification gives a response time of less than 3 seconds.
Easy Operation: Large LCD display and straightforward digital measurement.
Reduced Handling: Closed-vial testing avoids the traditional open-reflux titration approach described in AQUASOL literature.
